SubjectStarting network after setting configuration with nmtui-edit ignores IPv6 configuration
Message-ID<wgeSB-2zX-1@gated-at.bofh.it>
I am using packet network-manager.
~# dpkg --status network-manager
Package: network-manager
Status: install ok installed
Priority: optional
Section: net
Installed-Size: 9673
Maintainer: Utopia Maintenance Team <pkg-utopia-
maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org>
Architecture: arm64
Version: 1.6.2-3

I used nmtui-edit to configure the network and got:
~# cat /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Wired\ connection\ 1
[connection]
id=Wired connection 1
uuid=475dd973-64e7-38b7-aefe-e8df6f58fb0f
type=ethernet
autoconnect-priority=-999
permissions=
timestamp=1532707850

[ethernet]
mac-address=BA:AE:B5:7F:5B:FD
mac-address-blacklist=

[ipv4]
address1=192.168.178.11/24,192.168.178.1
address2=192.168.178.4/24
address3=182.168.178.5/24
dns=192.168.178.1;
dns-search=xxxxxxx.nl;fritz.box;
ignore-auto-routes=true
may-fail=false
method=manual

[ipv6]
addr-gen-mode=stable-privacy
address1=2001:abc:2222:1::1:41/64,fe80::9ec7:a6ff:fe0a:1f48
address2=2001:abc:2222:1::1:54/64
address3=2001:abc:2222:1::1:55/64
dns=fd00::9ec7:a6ff:fe0a:1f48;
dns-search=beelaertsict.nl;fritz.box;
ignore-auto-routes=true
may-fail=false
method=manual

After a reboot I get:
~# ip a
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group
default
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00

    inet 192.168.178.4/24 brd 192.168.178.255 scope global secondary eth0
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 fe80::b8ae:b5ff:fe7f:5bfd/64 scope link
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
4: sit0: <NOARP> mtu 1480 qdisc noop state DOWN group default

5: wlan0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc
pfifo_fast state DORMANT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 44:2c:05:ed:b0:63 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

As you can see no IPv6 addresses apart from the link-local address.
In
~# journalctl -b -u NetworkManager
I have:
Jul 27 19:09:53 bpim64.beelaertsict.nl NetworkManager[501]: <error>
[1532711393.0841] platform-linux: do-add-ip6-address[3: 2001:abc:
2222:1::1:41]: failure 22 (Invalid argument)

How do I enter a bug report? I am new to Debian.

You would use the 'reportbug' utility to do that.
I'm not sure that the above error is to be reported as a bug though.
