Hi all.

Here:

 http://www.radio3.rai.it/dl/portaleRadio/media/ContentItem-ee5e755e-200b-4133-9a9b-da491982bf01.html

you listen to a Liszt's ballad. I wonder if and how it is possible to download
it and/or copy it to a file. Any hint...?

Thanks,

Rodolfo

Some ideas (more than one way to skin your cat and no, no cats were
damaged while alluding to this well-known proverb).

far side of the hedge; or it might be the glory of speed; no one knew." --Mrs.

the Lighthouse," by Virginia Woolf.

Audacity does the job. Another way, that I prefer, is with command line. I
found it here:

 https://superuser.com/questions/597227/linux-arecord-capture-sound-card-output-rather-than-microphone-input

While PC playback is going, do:

 $ pacmd list | grep "\.monitor"
        name: <alsa_output.pci-0000_00_14.2.analog-stereo.monitor>
                alsa_output.pci-0000_00_14.2.analog-stereo.monitor/#0: Monitor of Built-in Audio Analog Stereo

 $ parec -d alsa_output.pci-0000_00_14.2.analog-stereo.monitor --file-format=wav output.wav

(You can list available file formats with parec --list-file-formats.)

Thanks.

You can use Firefox and install the Video DownloadHelper extension.
Despite the word 'Video' in its name, it saves the audio file as an mp3.

Obviously. Have a look at this:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

Also, saving videos with youtube-dl works in very many sites, not just
YouTube.

In this particular case, in that web page's source, if you search for
"audioUrl =" then you will find a promising url on the resulting line.

Download the file at that promising url using wget, or curl, or
whatever tool you prefer for that sort of thing.

Hello,

Just adding my 2 cents here...

Can you use Audacity to record the audio as it's playing through your computer? Just use the "stereo mix" input...

That is, assuming more sophisticated fixes don't do the trick...

Good luck!
