Hi,

you have not configured IPv6 address properly in /etc/network/interfaces.

the line should be :
iface etho0 inet6 static

inet6 is for IPv6, inet is for IPv4.

Kind regards
Georgi

::ffff:c0a8:101 is 192.168.1.1; Kernels use ::ffff/96 addresses
internally and not on networks. So I don't think this is going to work.
2000::/3 addresses work.
And probably fe80::/11 too.

Rob

By the way did you notice the typo here etho0 instead of eth0 ?

First, it should be 'eth0', not 'etho0'.

Second, you lack 'auto eth0' stanza, so your network interface won't be
configured until you invoke 'ifup eht0' explicitly.

Third, your default IPv6 route is wrong. Default gateway must be from
the same network as your IP, i.e. 2620:7:a000::/64 in this case.

BTW congratulations on getting ARIN entry for this network ;)

No wonder, see above.

Not going to work as of jessie, at least. Try 'ping6 ip6-localhost'.

Same result here, and I have working IPv6 connectivity to the outside
world. Besides, you can query DNS AAAA records even if you disable IPv6
completely.
So this one does not mean anything.
