Subjectdebian-user list problem
Message-ID<qi683-7Bm-15@gated-at.bofh.it>
  Hi
I cannot receive anymore debian-user list messages since I posted this
message:
https://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2015/10/msg00201.html
Yesterday, I posted a message to listmaster@lists.debian.org but I
didn't get any answer.
What can I do?
Thanks for any help.
Greetings

Between then and now you (using the technical term) cocked up your email
system. Only you know how you did it. Only you know how to rectify it.

No answer after day? What are things coming to?

Sort out you mail system.

Brian, that wasn't a very kind email. If you don't have time to be kind,
you should stop reading the mailing list and do the things that are
obviously more important to you.

Thank you. I'm not impervious to flattery.

Perhaps *you* can respond to an issue devoid of any technical detail?

The question, is whether it is better to be mean to someone, or to
ignore them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI18UrCkBEk

That's one of life's great imponderables.

Brian isn't always "kind". But he is very knowledgeable and a definite asset
to the mailing list. Please don't tell him to go away. As you say in your
advice to him, you can always ignore him if you don't like something he says.

But the user who just subscribed to get some support *will* see the message.

I am all for calling a spade a spade but in this case the question
is legitimate, correctly worded and politely asked: was there really
a need for a snarky reply?

What question? The OP has merely told us his email system doesn't work.
It appears both of us have no great interest in guessing why.

perhaps advising posters who want help is to read:

http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

may be the answer.

It certainly would save a lot of guessing.

Even the subject is unhelpful. :(

Hey Maderios,
have you checked debian-user messages aren't killed by
your spam filter or something similar? Or maybe that you aren't
receiving list messages in digest format? Are you receiving other
mailing list messages correctly?
