Greetings; My last installation of wheezy has developed a key failure when trying to run package-manager or synaptic-pkexec, so it is not getting all the updates. What is the cli command, presumably prefaced with a sudo, that will fetch and refresh these changed keys? "sudo apt-key update" does not update anything. sudo apt-get update ends with this: W: Failed to fetch http://http.debian.org/debian/dists/wheezy/Release.gpg Could not resolve 'http.debian.org' W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead. Solution? Thanks. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo. A bit confusing since that site with the dists/wheezy in the pathlist, does not exist in my sources.list. I took a SWAG and changed the last active one in the list. That did not affect apt-key's refresh report, but it did get rid of the synaptic-pkexec's squawks about missing index files. That however, did not enable a flood of updates. Should I still be worried? Thanks David. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo. "http.debian.org" was never used. Update the sources.list entry and try again. Ansgar
