Hi guys, I bought a new laptop (Dell Vostro) and comming with UEFI, I'm
very confusing about it and Debian installation. How to install grub in it?

Get into the system setup: switch off Secure Boot and reboot.

Use Windows tools to shrink the Windows disk to produce free space at the end of the disk.

Use a Debian CD / a Debian .iso file on a USB stick: allow the machine to boot from the CD / USB.

Install Debian in the normal way on the free space. That means that Debian will install grub-efi
and will then recognise that there is Windows on the first partition. 

I have a system here which has this, more or less.

If UEFI is implemented in a way that is not too broken, it should be as 
easy as it was with
the old style of BIOS.

With Dell systems you would normally start hitting the 'F12' key when 
you see the Dell Logo.
Maybe sooner if the display is a little slow to light up. Should get you 
the boot menu that has
the option to go to the UEFI setup.

In Windows hold down the Windows key and hit 'R' to bring up the run 
box, then type
'diskmgmt.msc' and hit 'Enter' to bring of the disk management, from 
there you should
be able to shrink the Windows partition.

If you go to the Dell web site, go to support, and type in the service 
tag number that's on your
machine, Dell may have some Linux related support information for your 
model. They may only
provide that for models they actually ship with Linux, but it doesn't 
hurt to look.

Someone managed to install NVIDIA driver for GeForce 830M? I have trouble
with installation automatically and manually (black screen, lightdm can't
start). Someone can help me?

The GeForce 830M is listed as a "Supported Device"[1], so you should be  
able to follow the instructions at [2] to get that installed. If it 
doesn't work, post the contents of your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file.

Ah, looking at that you ALSO have an Intel card, which *probably* means 
you have an NVIDIA Optimus configuration. In that, the Intel card drives 
the display but can either use its own, low-power 3D engine, or a 
higher-power one provided by the NVIDIA device. As I understand it, in 
this configuration, the NVIDIA card can't drive the display by itself 
(in contrast to a dual-card configuration in a desktop, where both cards 
would have monitor ports).

In order to get Optimus working with linux, you need to install 
Bumblebee. This page[1] should give you the information you require 
there.

On my Lenovo T530 it is a setting in the BIOS : always use Intel, Always
use nvidia or Optimus.

debian repository. The solution? Using ubuntu oficial repository of NVIDIA
(driver 355) but nvidia-settings still no given information about graphics

Bumblebee and Optimus/Prime do not use /etc/X11/xorg.conf. In fact, the
xorg.conf file prevents the graphics from working. The system normally
runs on the Intel card, except when greater demands are made. Then the
Nvidia card transfers graphics to the Intel card to display (I think).
It really becomes kind of confusing, but it does work. I am typing this
on a Lenovo T520 with this dual graphics. My main reason to run this
setup is to have both the internal lcd and and external monitor
connected.

It is for this propose but I think strange the lightdm/xdm not work after
installing NVIDIA driver.
This NVIDIA driver package create only one directory for all files needed
by driver, this makes it easy for the user.
