| Subject | Gtk4 Package Support? |

Hello all, I am trying to contact the Debian "package managers". I have tried to send the following to gtk@packages.debian.org, however this email address does not exist. Can someone please help by forwarding to the relevant parties? I thank you for your time and consideration! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Attention Debian Package Manager: I have truly enjoyed the Debian-provided packages (support) for Gtk2 and Gtk3. Now that Gtk4 has been released, I am at a bit of a loss. As a programmer, I have no experience building packages for Debian. Hopefully a Gtk4 package for Debian users will be available in the not-too-distant future. Thank you, and I hope to hear from you! Regards, Roark Dority Pixel Studio West Debian Software Development

We're just coming up on a new stable release, Bullseye -- and libgtk-4 is not in it. libgtk-4-0 is currently in "experimental" which means that it is both unstable and buggy. You can certainly install it and try it out, but you shouldn't depend on it just yet. If it goes smoothly, then it could be in the next stable release, in about 2 years. https://packages.debian.org/experimental/libgtk-4-0 is a useful page. It includes the email address for the Debian GNOME maintainers list, the archive, and the QA page. -dsr-
