sudo mdadm --detail --scan

Ok I got it, thanks for the explanation.
As a matter of fact, I never user 'udevadm' before today, never needed
it I guess.

Hm. Difficult to say. Besides, I'm a systemd analphabet.

Are those /dev/sdXX above symlinks?

As far as I know, there is a knob to increase udev's log level
in /etc/udev/udev.conf -- it's called udev_log (see e.g. [1]).

Perhaps it's helpful.

Cheers

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
