Linux Mint does not install a root user. It installs Sudo instead. In
Debian, if you did not tell it leave it blank, you installed a root
user password. That created the root user. The command used instead of
"sudo" is "su" in terminal. Instead of "sudo -i" or "sudo -s", use "su
- -l". Of course, these are without quotes.
