The boot man page in jessie and stretch continue to describe the use of init and init scripts. This may lead to confusion about how to manage the start-up process. I would think this ma page should be revised to describe and point to systemd manpages. Also, when you go to init man page it describes systemd not init. As there is considerable controversy regarding init vs systemd attention to the detail in this regard is no doubt important. In regard to that controversy is it possible to provide systemd services that would facilitate the equivalent of run levels? Thanks Brad Sent from my ASUS
