Installed gcc and tried make.

make: Nothing to be done for 'all'.
#

This is the "all" stanza in Makefile.

all: $(PROGS)

$(PROGS): $(OBJS)
        $(CC) $(LDFLAGS) $(CFLAGS) $^ $(LDLIBS) -o $@
        $(STRIP) --remove-section=.comment --remove-section=.note $@

Is the problem in all?  Elsewhere?
