For me, my always-on 24/7 client is Claws Mail. It does sorting, 
filtering, executing scripts on e-mail arrivals (for example Telegram 
notifications), on home server computer.
TB is only to display end result and easily manage e-mail on my day to 
day work PC, its interface is much more comfortable than Claws.

And Claws *may* lose entire database on sudden PC shutdown/crash. 
Because files are not saved properly, or something, and some database 
files inside Claws folder have 0 length upon next restart. It happened 
to me once and I had to restore from backup. Very insecure! I don't know 
if it is due to default settings in Claws, or something else, but no 
other program I use does that. This was on RAID1 redundant Btrfs filesystem.
So yeah, I'd rather continue using TB for now as my main client.

This could have been user error. But I see your point. Thanks for 
sharing solution you decided to use.
I don't see major problems with TB, so I may stay with it. I 
experimented with KMail last year, but it wasn't any better than TB, so 
why change.
