Dear Debian Project,

Jitsi is in my opinion the most viable Skype replacement. It has been in 
Debian experimental for many years now not progressing:

https://packages.debian.org/sid/jitsi

What has to be done to get Jitsi pushed through to testing to have it 
Debian 9 stable?

Many people want a proper open and free Skype replacement readily 
available, and just being an "apt get" away from having it would be 
heavenly wonderful.

How come Jitsi can provide Debian packages over at 
https://jitsi.org/Main/Download but Debian can not?

It's not in Debian testing, because of reasons shown at
https://qa.debian.org/excuses.php?package=jitsi, and you should help
the Jitsi packaging team fix those reasons.
