I followed this
<https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/ch04s03.html.de> tutorial,
preparing a usb stick to copy a debian 8-sid. I umounted the stick (as
recommended), but got the
message

no medium found: /dev/sdb

but when I ..

#cp debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso /dev/sdb; sync

everything is being copied, stick will be recognized, but unfortunately
it's not bootable ;-((

What did I do wrong?

Best regards

Please resend to debian-user@lists.debian.org list .....

This project list is not the right list to use for help and support.

Cheers
A.
