Hello! The BSP season is upon us (we're currently busy organising one in Montréal ~ end of February) and I've got a question with regards to the reimbursement rules for people traveling to such an event. It used to be one could get an "automatic" (by this I mean, without having to ask for pre-approval) budget of up to 100 USD for traveling to a BSP. I think this was a great way to spend our money, foster local communities and get more RC bugs fixed faster :) Is this still the case? If so, can we add this explicitly to the "How to host a BSP" wiki page? Cheers, [1]: https://wiki.debian.org/HostingBSP -- ⢀⣴⠾⠻⢶⣦⠀ ⣾⠁⢠⠒⠀⣿⡁ Louis-Philippe Véronneau ⢿⡄⠘⠷⠚⠋ pollo@debian.org / veronneau.org ⠈⠳⣄

That process has been suspended by <tslh894w4oo.fsf@suchdamage.org>. There is a system development in progress to streamline the process as requested by Sam at the time*: https://salsa.debian.org/stefanor/debian-reimbursement Currently please ask for pre-approval as with any other expense request: https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/DPL/Reimbursement * there are other reasons for this system development, too, as per https://salsa.debian.org/freexian-team/project-funding/-/blob/master/accepted/2022-11-debian-reimbursements.md

I think I started it actually, in https://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2014/11/msg00050.html However at the time it was not automatic. I don't know when it became automatic. Lucas
