Hi, I've pushed to Salsa a few patches to have dput-ng work with Python 3. Currently in the Git, there's a python3-dput package that conflicts with python-dput, and the dput-ng package depends on one or the other. I tried uploading with both versions, and also a "dcut dm" command, and it did work well so far. I'm now a bit out of idea of what else to test. Now, we have 2 options: - upload the package like this, with both Python 2 and 3 support, then users can choose, until we decide to remove Python 2. This has the disadvantage to add some metadata in debian/control. - force python 3, and directly remove the Python 2 package. I'm open to both directions. But before that, I'd like to make sure dput-ng is in good enough shape, and have my peers try it. I also would like to have approval from past maintainers of dput before the upload. Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo)

Again, thank you for that!

I'd take option 2.
There ought to be no packages using python-dput (like, srly…), and I see
no real reason for anybody to keep using the py2 version after the
switch.

Yep, let's test it a bit more from git.
