No - I found this email thread and checked

I'd consider pushing a branch is the typical approach a team should work
with Git.

Current is 4.1.0 (despite lintian claims 4.0.0)

I would prefer to move pandas to Debian Science or Debian Python. I
fail to see the specific use in NeuroDebian field.

Kind regards

I ould repeat that I don't mind having it moved under -science or
-python teams maintenance. But it shouldn't make it more difficult for
me to maintain it.

Thanks for the permission to move the package. Could you please be more
verbose what exactly might make your maintenance more difficult? Its
about changing Vcs-Fields and Maintainer field - is this in some way
making things harder for you?

Kind regards

     Andreas.

nah, VCS field(s) is a non issue. making package non-backportable
automatically, introducing new patch management mechanisms (dpq or
whatnot) which I am not too familiar with -- such things could make
things more difficult. If just a matter of moving a repository -- that
is all ok as long as I know where to find a new one and could contribute
;)

you can simplify it even further by using pybuild's --ext-dest-dir:
(I didn't test as this branch FTBFS for me)

Ooh. I didn't know about PYBUILD_EXT_DEST_DIR_python3

that's useful.

Where should that option be documented?

Diane

In pybuild's manpage for a start?

how recent is that feature?

one of the concerns of mine to be paid attention to is being able to
easily backport this package for older debian/ubuntus (we could patch,
by per-release patching is somewhat tedious) for the upload to
NeuroDebian. Current state of things (I will now upload that
fresh -2 build now for where it built) is at
http://neuro.debian.net/pkgs/python-pandas.html

it's available since the initial release IIRC

no, we don't want to rename the python2.7 package.

fix them, they fail for unrelated reasons ;)
