I'd consider pushing a branch is the typical approach a team should work
with Git.

Current is 4.1.0 (despite lintian claims 4.0.0)

I would prefer to move pandas to Debian Science or Debian Python. I
fail to see the specific use in NeuroDebian field.
Kind regards
Andreas.

Thanks for the permission to move the package. Could you please be more
verbose what exactly might make your maintenance more difficult? Its
about changing Vcs-Fields and Maintainer field - is this in some way
making things harder for you?
Kind regards
Andreas.

If just a matter of moving a repository -- that is all ok as long as I know where to find a new one and could contribute ;) -- Yaroslav O. Current state of things (I will now upload that fresh -2 build now for where it built) is at http://neuro.debian.net/pkgs/python-pandas.html -- Yaroslav O. no, we don't want to rename the python2.7 package.
