Control: severity -1 serious This bug resulted in system breakage for me. I'm using an Intel 82579V gigabit NIC with a gigabit router and failing to copy built-in modules prevented the NIC from negotiating with gigabit speeds. After applying the patch, creating a new initramfs and rebooting, now I can connect with gigabit speeds again. This bug is breaking many systems in subtle ways I think. Regards, Hakan
