Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

I just tested kernel 5.6.4 from experimental, and noticed that it doesn't
enable hwmon sensors for nvme drives which have been available for some
time already.

I'm not sure why upstream doesn't enable it by default, but it works very well
in general. Please enable CONFIG_NVME_HWMON=y to expose that to Debian build
of the kernel.

Thanks!

hi ,

i made a modification in the testing's sources :
now (hwmon) nvme's monitoring is ok .

can debian activate it on further updates of the kernel ?

it is really a pity to modify the kernel each time it appears .

hope further kernels will have nvme's monitoring succesfully activated .
since it is installed from few versions .

sincerely ,

alain.

nb: kernel 5.6.0-2 (5.6.14) modified to 5.6.14-1 with nvme's monitoring now
activated by myself .
(it wasn't the case before on the 5.6.0-2(5.6.14))

thanks for reading .

nb2: 3rd try to post .
did i made errors ?. it seems impossible to join you .
now , tryed with reportbug .
