git clone https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git cd linux-firmware mkdir /lib/firmware/mediatek/ cp mediatek/mt7610u.bin /lib/firmware/mediatek/ rmmod mt76x0 modprobe mt76x0 Adapter is working.

Hit the same issue in buster. While there are a couple of workarounds, wouldn't it be better to fix the package? --Adam
