Package: firmware-iwlwifi
Version: 20190717-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

It looks like a newer version of modules is available as version 20190815:

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/tag/?h=20190815

I have a newer Lenovo Yoga X1 (Gen 4) and the 20190717 wifi firmware
does not work ("SYNC CMD GEO_TX_POWER_LIMIT" error). Through some
searching I saw that there were other reports of upgrades needed to the
underlying firmware. I manually installed 20190815 and this resolved the
issue (wifi works now)

-- System Information:
Debian Release: bullseye/sid
  APT prefers unstable
  APT policy: (500, 'unstable')
Architecture: amd64 (x86_64)

Kernel: Linux 5.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash
Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
LSM: AppArmor: enabled

firmware-iwlwifi depends on no packages.

firmware-iwlwifi recommends no packages.

Versions of packages firmware-iwlwifi suggests:
ii initramfs-tools 0.135

-- no debconf information

I'll chime in that I'm also affected on this same hardware, manual install
works but it would be preferred if the package was updated.

Small updates/notes:
- Apparently a few additional "release" tags have been made since opening
this
- I believe #940813 is the same issue
