That looks has happened for the 4.9 stable series as in
https://lore.kernel.org/stable/20190411032430.17353-1-matthew.ruffell@canonical.com/
and would be included afaics in 4.9.169.

Looks actually that it again had to be dropped again for 4.9.169, as
per https://lore.kernel.org/stable/20190415104228.GA9397@kroah.com/
