Hello, Just dist-upgraded my Wheezy to install the latest security kernel (meltdown and spectre patched) and noticed the nvidia kernel driver was not updated accordingly leaving the X server unable to load the driver (black screen). linux-image-3.2.0-5-amd64 (3.2.96-3) [security] nvidia-kernel-3.2.0-4-amd64 (304.131+1+1+3.2.73-2) [non-free] Is this an expected behaviour (no more nvidia kernel updates for old-old-stable releases) or I can expect to be solved in the next days? Cheers, -- Camaleón

(BBC'ed the kernel list, please keep this on the pkg-nvidia-devel list) Use the DKMS package rather than the binary modules package, so that the oot kernel modules are rebuilt dynamically when the kernel is updated: apt-get install nvidia-kernel-dkms -- Kind regards, Luca Boccassi
