Source: linux Version: 4.9.65-3+deb9u2 Severity: wishlist Control: found -1 3.16.51-3+deb8u1 Dear Maintainer, The backport of KPTI/KAISER to 4.9 and 3.16 lacks the pti CPU flag and the cpu_insecure bug found in /proc/cpuinfo in 4.14. While this does not affect core KPTI functionality, it makes it harder to determine whether a system is running with pti enabled without examining kernel logs. Please consider backporting the relevant changes. Regards, Apollon

Correcting myself: The flag is there, but it's called "kaiser" and not "pti". This seems to be the same throughout upstream backports of the patchset. Feel free to close this bug report if you wish! Regards, Apollon
