Hello,

The 4.15 kernel comes with initial support for RISC-V.

Enabling support to build linux-libc-dev is one of the first steps to bootstrap
the architecture, so please consider enabling it.

If there's anything wrong or missing, please let me know.

Thanks and cheers.

I was missing debian/config/defines, attached now.

You've missed out several steps:

1. Add the architecture definition to dpkg/unstable.
2. Backport that addition to dpkg/stable.
3. Get the stable update installed on ftp-master.

dak will reject uploads that mention an architecture that the local
dpkg doesn't recognise.

Ben.

It's requested, but not done:

Didn't know about dak, thanks for the notice.

Cheers.

The dpkg patches have been included in stable, and we have reports of at
least one package with riscv64 enabled being successfully uploaded
without getting rejected by dak, so I've enabled this and should be
included in the next upload to sid:

live well,
