Hi folks,

what is the story behind linux_4.9.47-1.dsc that popped up
in p-u on the ftp server more than 2 weeks ago? Looking at
its changelog there are tons of interesting fixes inside.

Should I upgrade? Or has it been obsoleted by 4.9.{48..52}
in the meantime?

Regards
Harri

It doesn't include all the security fixes in 4.9.30-2+deb9u5, so you
might be better off waiting for the next upload to stretch-pu.

Ben.

Hi Ben,

seems that 4.9.51 made it into stable. Thats great.

Maintaining a complex beast like the kernel with tons of
patches appears to be a tremendous task. I highly appreciate
your work and the work of the other members of the Debian
Kernel Team.

Harri
