On an up-to-date testing system, Bluetooth now works with the RTL8822BE chipset and firmware-realtek 20180518-1, but Wi-Fi doesn't. Looking through dmesg it doesn't appear that it even attempts to load the Wi-Fi driver. Is there something additional that must be done to get Wi-Fi working? -- Soren Stoutner Small Business Tech Solutions 623-262-6169 soren@smallbusinesstech.net

Ben, This bug is titled "firmware-realtek: Missing firmware rtlwifi: rtl8822be". It was closed when firmware was added to enable Bluetooth on the chip. However, as the title of the bug specified "rltwifi" and neither the title nor the body of the bug report says anything about Bluetooth, it seemed to me that it was closed inappropriately. However, I can see your point that I could be experiencing a different issue. Perhaps the correct firmware is present and just isn't being loaded for some reason. As such, I have opened a new bug report: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=905867 Thank you. -- Soren Stoutner Small Business Tech Solutions 623-262-6169 soren@smallbusinesstech.net
