Is it still an issue today?

Since espeak is not running all that time along, this really rather
looks like a kernel bug, thus reassigning.

Hi Samuel,

No the bug must have been fixed at some point. I forgot I even submitted
this.

Still use espeak extensively, thanks for contributing to a wonderful
program.
