Hi all

I've applied both patches

I had to modify the second one to apply cleanly. the modification was
trivial as the patch removed 4 lines from  drivers/usb/host/xhci-plat.c
but those lines weren't present on Debian's kernel (and upstream)

The reboot issue is fixed, same as the USB3 issues we all had, the machine
has worked reliably for an hour now. I'll use it for more time and report
back.

I've attached the second patch. updated, for others to try. 
Vagrant, can you try this on your boards too?

This has now missed stretch r0 but can still be fixed in a point
release.

OK, so stretch is out :-) Should we try to hash out some sort of plan for
getting this fixed in r1? My XU4 now has a problem-free month with this
patch, so I believe any risk should be to other platforms.

Given that stretch release is in only a few weeks, time is running out for
this bug. Is the general thought that the risk of breaking other boards is
too great, or can we try to get these two patches into stretch to get XU4
working?
