Hi all I've applied both patches https://github.com/hardkernel/linux/commit/74b9605e5587b30912d6b6093e9d7fb06d043c33 https://github.com/hardkernel/linux/commit/2166ffd004e04a61887eb2a39f8639dc12140c58 I had to modify the second one to apply cleanly. the modification was trivial as the patch removed 4 lines from drivers/usb/host/xhci-plat.c but those lines weren't present on Debian's kernel (and upstream) The reboot issue is fixed, same as the USB3 issues we all had, the machine has worked reliably for an hour now. I'll use it for more time and report back. I've attached the second patch. updated, for others to try. Vagrant, can you try this on your boards too? -- IRC: gfa GPG: 0X44BB1BA79F6C6333

This has now missed stretch r0 but can still be fixed in a point release. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings It is easier to write an incorrect program than to understand a correct one.

OK, so stretch is out :-) Should we try to hash out some sort of plan for getting this fixed in r1? My XU4 now has a problem-free month with this patch, so I believe any risk should be to other platforms. /* Steinar */ -- Homepage: https://www.sesse.net/

Given that stretch release is in only a few weeks, time is running out for this bug. Is the general thought that the risk of breaking other boards is too great, or can we try to get these two patches into stretch to get XU4 working? /* Steinar */ -- Homepage: https://www.sesse.net/
