Dear Maintainer,

I'm running Debian on an old AMD K6-III system, which went fine up to
kernel 4.2.6. After upgrading to 4.3.3, I only have a i686-capable
kernel, which doesn't run on this system anymore.

I needed to select the older kernel to make the system boot again.

     apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade

     Reboot after above commands.

     System went into reboot loop.

     System should have rebooted into working state.
