Dear Maintainer,

(self-reporting, I intend to create a PR in salsa)

The fastrpc driver is sometimes very verbose and spams the kernel logs,
making it hard to investigate issues in the first place.

The following commit has arrived in linux-next, which hopefully will
reduce the verbosity of the driver:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/srini/fastrpc.git/commit/?id=94778611d71b57ff917de507229e1c58ad9deba7

I would like to have this commit cherry-picked and applied in Debian
kernels so the amount of logs on concerned systems reduces to something
more acceptable.

Thanks,

Agathe.

It looks the commit landed in mainline as 23d612cf3d3d ("misc:
fastrpc: Reduce console noise from expected DSP info, reserved memory
and session messages") . We can maybe cherry-pick it in advance for
debian/latest and the experimental uploads.

*but* for other series, can you ask the stable upstream maintainers
please to cherry-pick them in the relevant branches? The commit does
not carry a CC to stable or Fixes tags so this might not happen
otherwise.

Regards,
Salvatore

Thanks. I will wait accordingly as well for
https://salsa.debian.org/kernel-team/linux/-/merge_requests/2135 so we
do not add overhead with the older branches in case there are reasons.

Regards,
Salvatore
