Package: firmware-amd-graphics Version: 20260810-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: jeremy.a.barrow+deb@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, I recently upgraded my system, and one of those things was firmware-amd-graphics (specifically to 20260810-1) I also updated firefox, and a lot of other software at the same time. After some time, I opened up Youtube and noticed there was some artifacting. I did some digging, and it turns out that there's a hardware AV1 decoding issue for AMD 7000s series. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/work_items/5615 Forcing h264 codec temporarily solves the issue, but considering upstream has a fix already, it would be nice to get this to everyone's hands. Much love for all of your hard work! <3 -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 7.1.13+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_AU.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- no debconf information
