Package: linux-image-amd64 Version: 6.12.90-2 Related to: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1102422 I noticed one of Debian machine is making a lot of noise in journalctl logs. Can you tone this down by default? I didn't tune any kernel at all. Below is a piece of logs - see how frequently it is. XX:02:23 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:02:35 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:02:47 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:02:59 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:03:11 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:03:23 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:03:35 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:03:47 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:03:59 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:04:11 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:04:23 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:04:35 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:04:47 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:04:59 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:05:11 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:05:24 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:05:36 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:05:48 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:06:00 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:06:12 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:06:24 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:06:36 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:06:48 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:07:00 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:07:12 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:07:24 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:07:36 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:07:48 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:08:00 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:08:12 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:08:24 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:08:36 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:08:48 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:09:00 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:09:12 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:09:24 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:09:36 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:09:48 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:10:00 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:10:12 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:10:24 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:10:36 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:10:48 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:11:00 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:11:12 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:11:24 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:11:37 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:11:49 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:12:01 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:12:13 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:12:25 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:12:37 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:12:49 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:13:01 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:13:13 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:13:25 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:13:37 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:13:49 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:14:01 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:14:13 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:14:25 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:14:37 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:14:49 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:15:01 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:15:13 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:15:25 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:15:37 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62 XX:15:49 tpm tpm0: tpm_try_transmit: send(): error -62

And ideally also the output of `reportbug --template linux-image-$(uname -r)`. Do you use the TPM consciously? If it's just about getting rid of the log messages, you can just unload the driver. On my laptop that works as follows: ~$ cd /sys/class/tpm/tpm0/device/driver /sys/class/tpm/tpm0/device/driver$ ls bind STM0925:00 uevent unbind /sys/class/tpm/tpm0/device/driver$ echo STM0925:00 | sudo tee unbind If you replace `STM0925:00` by the corresponding string from ls's output, it should work for you, too. Best regards Uwe
