I would like to talk about legacy iptables and plan to deprecate and
remove it.

Hello,

Would it be possible to quickly discuss about the proposal for
maintaining firmware-nonfree in old releases, by including kernel-tied
source packages, as suggested in:
https://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2025/10/msg00323.html ?

My questions for the meeting would be:

- Does the kernel team think that having a firmware-nonfree source
package per kernel version available makes sense?
- If yes, since Ben is maintaining a linux backport for LTS, should the
hypothetical firmware-nonfree-6.1 source package maintained under the
  kernel team umbrella?

Thanks for considering,
