Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
using default debian kernel on an embedded system...

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
please enable CONFIG_MMC_CAVIUM_THUNDERX=M in your configs

   * What was the outcome of this action?
manually rebuilding the module resulted in a working system

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
the box works out of the box with debian... :)
