Package: firmware-nonfree
X-Reportbug-Version: 12.0.0
Version: 20240909-1
Severity: serious
# justification: installation fails
X-Debbugs-Cc: bage@debian.org
Control: affects -1 firmware-realtek-rtl8723cs-bt

Dear Maintainers,

in https://jenkins.debian.net/job/reproducible_debian_live_build_standard_sid/973/consoleFull I noticed this:

Unpacking firmware-realtek-rtl8723cs-bt (20181104-4) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-gLM2mK/347-firmware-realtek-rtl8723cs-bt_20181104-4_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/firmware/rtl_bt/rtl8723cs_xx_config.bin', which is also in package firmware-realtek 20240909-1

rtl8723bt-firmware's maintainer cc:ed, but assigning to firmware-nonfree, as
this one had the last upload.

Thank you for maintaining firmwares in Debian!

Dear Maintainer,

 Bug is produced during:
 # apt update && apt dist-upgrade;
I belive the same issue has existed on my sytem for the last couple of
months. No serious debugging was performed as wifi is critical to
repair the system. If you would like an identical card to test, I have a few
and could mail you one ( I realize it is at least 10 years old and many
might find debugging this to be incovenient ). Alternately, I would be
happy to work with you on this issue over chat using my box with the
 card using this driver.

Granted that Bastian has opened RM bug to remove the package ([1]), I
think a Conflics / Replaces is a way to go with respect to this
file conflict. At least it lets to get the new firmware-realtek package
migrate to testing and then if it breaks WiFi for anybody using
Pinebook, it will let them complain.
