Hi Sam, hi Anton

I have prepared the change for nfs-utils in bookworm to fix the NFSv4
referrals regression in bookworm in

https://salsa.debian.org/kernel-team/nfs-utils/-/merge_requests/34

I plan to submit the change for the upcoming point release, but would
appreciate if you give the change a try. It maches what was discussed
and proposed by Anton as well.

Regards,
Salvatore

That patch looks pretty much exactly like the one I have in a local git
tree ontop of nfs-utils-2-7-2-rc1, from which I've built a rpc.mountd
which have been running in production since Oct 2.

I'll rebuild a mountd based on exactly your code and test it tomorrow.

bookworm to the stable release managers.

Regards,
Salvatore

So, i've tested a mountd from 490befe340c6d3995fc8b007db2df48bf5d1eb00
and it works as expected, and my referrals work, so LGTM.
