Package: firmware-realtek-rtl8723cs-bt Version: 20181104-4 Followup-For: Bug #1084791 X-Debbugs-Cc: psyb3rn4ut@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, Bug is produced during: # apt update && apt dist-upgrade; I belive the same issue has existed on my sytem for the last couple of months. No serious debugging was performed as wifi is critical to repair the system. If you would like an identical card to test, I have a few and could mail you one ( I realize it is at least 10 years old and many might find debugging this to be incovenient ). Alternately, I would be happy to work with you on this issue over chat using my box with the card using this driver. - System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.9.8-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled -- no debconf information

Package: firmware-realtek Followup-For: Bug #1084791 Granted that Bastian has opened RM bug to remove the package ([1]), I think a Conflics / Replaces is a way to go with respect to this file conflict. At least it lets to get the new firmware-realtek package migrate to testing and then if it breaks WiFi for anybody using Pinebook, it will let them complain. [1] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1085075 -- With best wishes Dmitry -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.10.6-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/bash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) firmware-realtek depends on no packages. firmware-realtek recommends no packages. Versions of packages firmware-realtek suggests: ii initramfs-tools 0.145 -- no debconf information
