#82920 — Bug#1075713: linux: ISO missing qxl.ko.xz kernel module

I've inspected the arch-latest amd64 ISO from:

https://get.debian.org/images/daily-builds/daily/arch-latest/amd64/iso-cd/debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso

It is missing drivers/gpu/drm/qxl/qxl.ko.xz kernel module.

We need to review the ISO build log(s) and the Debian Image scripts but
I've been unable to track them down.

I also noticed that in

/usr/lib/modules/6.9.7-amd64/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/

all 6 modules there are named *.ko

but the other 818 modules in the installer image are *.ko.xz

This may be a clue!

Right, it looks like a fumble on my part in the following commit:
  https://salsa.debian.org/installer-team/debian-installer/-/commit/bd0f1106f90756e6f4514108492d71e1f2e695ea

I'm picking up compressed modules but shipping them without the suffix…
and that's not an issue with src:linux.
  https://salsa.debian.org/installer-team/debian-installer/-/commit/042be38d65ae906574d03ef07be20cbd865fddc6

Still need to find time to actually debug the original issue, but that's
another story entirely.

Cheers,

So AFAIU, we can re-eassign this bug to src:debian-installer installer
for now. Doing so now.

Regards,
Salvatore
