What I see in these messages that it's requesting new(er) *firmware* files, but 
the bug title implicates that there is a *kernel* module missing.
The latter would be very surprising and would make your/any graphics output on 
AMD GPUs not work.
Can you confirm it's actually a firmware issue?

there are no errors in dmesg. and I don't see any graphical artifacts,
but the error about the lack of modules is very alarming to me.

Apparently some new (AMD) kernel files have been backported to the 6.1 branch,
which causes it to request firmware files which didn't exist when 6.1 was
released. 
I've reassigned and changed this bug report into a request for a backport of
newer firmware files for Bookworm, although I'm not so sure that's a good idea.

While it may look alarming, it's highly likely harmless. Just noisy.

I'm supporting this request. My new notebook needs an updated 
firmware-iwlwifi and linux-image-amd64 from bookworm-backports for 
working wireless on an otherwise bookworm system.
