Via snapshot.debian.org you should be able to find various 6.3.X versions, all
uploaded to Experimental at the time.
Could you try whether the issue is present in all those versions? If you try
6.3.1-1~exp1 first and that fails, you can assume they will all fail.

Does this mean that you tested it on exactly the same system with the same
package version, but the only differentiator was the kernel (version)?
I ask this as the regression could also be in the firmware, which was version
20230210-5 in Stable, but is now 20230515-3 in Unstable (and Testing).

I checked different versions. Here are the results:

beginning right after clicking "add device" until the device manager
says "not able to pair"

Just Debian 6.1.37-1 works.

6.4.4-1 was uploaded to unstable in meanwhile, you might be able to
check against the newer version as well?

H Salvatore,

it seems to be an Debian configuration problem which still exist in
kernel 6.5.

I checked the current Ubuntu Live version with success. Everything works
as expected.

Maybe the Bluetooth configuration is buggy. A second problem I have is
