Dear Maintainer,

This is more an observation than an issue on my system.

dmesg messages say:

The iwlwifi-cc-a0-[66,65,64].ucode firmwares do not exist neither in the
package neither here:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-
firmware.git/tree/
But it exists there iwlwifi-cc-a0-67.ucode that is not in the package.

Could this be the reason of those messages?

Thanks,
Patrice

ps: my system kernel package is linux-image-5.15.0-1-amd64 (5.15.3-1)

Workaround: switch to kernel package linux-image-5.15.0-2-amd64

It succeeded loading the firmware:

[ 9.394021] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: firmware: direct-loading firmware
iwlwifi-cc-a0-63.ucode

Bye,

AFAIK the kernel tries to load firmware and if it doesn't find it, then it tries
the next (appropriate) one. It looks like it did find an appropriate one (-63).

FTR: it does NOT look upstream, only on your local filesystem.

When the package gets updated, then those messages will likely change (or even
disappear?). Could you update this bug when that happens by either closing it
by sending a message to 1000541-done@bugs.debian.org (or just send it to the
bug report and someone else will close it) or if you think it's not fixed,
update the bug with your new/updated finding?

TIA,
  Diederik
