#76311 — Bug#1019847: firmware-amd-graphics: missing yellow_carp* firmware for AMD Rembrandt / Ryzen 9 6900HS / Radeon 680M

SubjectBug#1019847: firmware-amd-graphics: missing yellow_carp* firmware for AMD Rembrandt / Ryzen 9 6900HS / Radeon 680M
Message-ID<F5IAh-7zcN-1@gated-at.bofh.it>
Package: firmware-amd-graphics
Version: 20210818-1
Severity: normal

Similar to #1009618, this simply needs the yellow_carp* firmware
files from the upstream Git repo to function mostly correctly.
As of right now, they aren't included. Without them, no usable
text or graphical interface starts at boot without nomodeset,
which isn't an ideal solution either obviously.

Thanks!

On my Lenovo T14s Gen3 AMD this causes the boot process to just hang
after the "amdgpu: Topology: Add CPU node" message.

I fixed this by copying to my system the files from
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/tree/amdgpu .
