Source: linux Version: 6.0.12-1 Severity: normal User: debian-alpha@lists.debian.org Usertags: alpha X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-alpha@lists.debian.org Hello! Since upstream version 5.19.x, src:linux FTBFS on alpha due to unversioned symbols [1]: > ABI is not completely versioned! Refusing to continue. > Unversioned symbols: > strcat module: vmlinux, version: 0x00000000, export: EXPORT_SYMBOL > strcpy module: vmlinux, version: 0x00000000, export: EXPORT_SYMBOL > strncat module: vmlinux, version: 0x00000000, export: EXPORT_SYMBOL > strncpy module: vmlinux, version: 0x00000000, export: EXPORT_SYMBOL > Can't read ABI reference. ABI not checked! A local build showed that this is still present in the latest package version 6.0.12-1. According to this comment [2], this issue can be fixed by adding the appropriate include to arch/$ARCH/include/asm/asm-prototypes.h but the include for <asm/string.h> is already present, so I'm not sure what the actual problem is. I'm reporting this issue to hopefully get some feedback on what else to try to fix this issue. I'm happy to provide any patches once I know what to fix. Thanks, Adrian > [1] https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=linux&arch=alpha&ver=5.19.6-1&stamp=1663530012&raw=0 > [2] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=908161#10 -- .''`.
