#74892 — Bug#1008501: pahole-flags.sh: inaccessible or not found

FromThorsten Glaser <tg@mirbsd.de>

SubjectBug#1008501: pahole-flags.sh: inaccessible or not found
Message-ID<E5Jfb-4DTR-5@gated-at.bofh.it>
Package: linux-headers-5.17.0-rc8-common
Version: 5.17~rc8-1~exp1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: tg@mirbsd.de

Trying to build a kernel module against 5.17 shows several warnings:

W: /bin/sh: /usr/src/linux-headers-5.17.0-rc8-common/scripts/pahole-flags.sh: inaccessible or not found

According to the PTS, a file called pahole-flags.sh does not exist in
experimental *or* sid.

I haven’t checked whether this bug also occurs on sid; bullseye does
not yet have it.

found -1 5.16.18-1

notfound -1 5.10.106-1

thankyou

Hello,

I encounter also the same bug in an up-to-date Debian Sid:

/bin/sh: 1:
/usr/src/linux-headers-5.16.0-6-common/scripts/pahole-flags.sh: not found

However, the kernel module is still successfully built.

Tested in a VM with Debian 11, the message doesn't appear.

Philippe.
