Package: firmware-realtek Version 20210315-2 I'm testing debian bullseye and I've noticed that despite the firmware of the wireless card Realtek RTL8821ce being added to the package, it is still not working. I downloaded the ISO debian-live-blsy-DI-rc2-amd64-xfce+nonfree.iso from https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/bullseye_di_rc2-live+nonfree/amd64/iso-hybrid/debian-live-blsy-DI-rc2-amd64-xfce+nonfree.iso and when I boot the system the Wireless card is not detected by Network Manager. if I type dmesg -l err in the terminal I get the following error message: [ 8.123230] rtw_8821ce 0000:03:00.0: rfe 2 isn't supported [ 8.123394] rtw_8821ce 0000:03:00.0: failed to setup chip efuse info [ 8.123396] rtw_8821ce 0000:03:00.0: failed to setup chip information this problem does not exist in Ubuntu 21.04, when my wireless card is detected out of the box and works fine.

This means the driver doesn't support this variant of the hardware.
It's not a firmware problem.
That appears to be fixed in 5.12 by:
commit 5d6651fe85837b11564a2e2c3c6279c057d078d6
Author: Guo-Feng Fan <vincent_fann@realtek.com>
Date: Tue Feb 2 13:50:12 2021 +0800
rtw88: 8821c: support RFE type2 wifi NIC
but that may depend on other changes.
Ben.
