Ussing kernel parameter psmouse.elantech_smbus=0 works

The touchpad worked correctly

Is there any progress on this issue? My ELAN touchpad (Acer Aspire 7) is not working either with linux-image-5.4.0-1-amd64 and linux-image-5.4.0-2-amd64 (have not tested linux-image-5.4.0-3-amd64 yet). It works with linux-image- 5.3.0-1-amd64. Regards, Daniel

Source: linux Followup-For: Bug #943370 X-Debbugs-Cc: omarpurataf@gmail.com Also latest kernel update in Debian testing (5.10.26-1) proved to have some regressions with these elantech touchpads. When it stops working dmesg reports "IRQ triggeres but there's not data" also trying to restart or reload the device using modprobe doesn't work.
