Booting up with i915 loaded results in a

which blocks bootup. Disabling the module in modprobe.d via
install drm_kms_helper /bin/true
lets the system boot up, but remain in 800x600 px mode. SecureBoot is off, System is updated to todays sid; previous kernels didn't work either.
If anyone has another idea what to try, I'm all ears.
