Message-ID<ACVoK-6Do-3@gated-at.bofh.it>
Package: firmware-realtek
Version: 20200619-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I am running bullseye with a realtek RTL8822CE network controller and wifi
didn't work at first (network-manager wasn't able to find any networks). dmesg
gave the following output:

[ 2.388709] rtw_pci 0000:01:00.0: firmware: failed to load
rtw88/rtw8822c_wow_fw.bin (-2)
[ 2.388750] rtw_pci 0000:01:00.0: Direct firmware load for
rtw88/rtw8822c_wow_fw.bin failed with error -2
[ 2.388754] rtw_pci 0000:01:00.0: failed to request firmware
[ 2.389003] rtw_pci 0000:01:00.0: firmware: direct-loading firmware
rtw88/rtw8822c_fw.bin
[ 2.389010] rtw_pci 0000:01:00.0: Firmware version 9.9.0, H2C version 15

After adding rtw8822c_wow_fw.bin to /usr/lib/firmware/rtw88 everything works
fine. I have taken the file from
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-
firmware.git/tree/rtw88.

Regards,
Miquel
